EndOfNineWeeks#2

     This nine weeks has been good. i learned after effects which is great so i will work with that for a long time. the projects are not bad and the dramatic music video was hard core. the rest of the projects were okay. i am very bummed out that wolf center completely blew of cross country though. The editor apparently didn't like my project which i cant argue with but they can at least spend like 5 minutes on making their own promo. it's not like they spend longer than that on theirs anyways. they also got our place at region wrong. otherwise the nine weeks was not so bad.

       So i am roughly half way done with it and it is crazy hard. i just had to pick a rap song. i love the song but it is killer. I had to cut a lot out of the music video so i could finish it. it doesn't look as good as i wanted but it is too late to go back. it wont be as good as i wanted but I'm not mad. i am furious. not really. i hope i can finish it in time.

       The dramatic music video sounds like a killer project. Before we had to start the project i managed to learn a little bit about after effects. my first plan was to do the entire thing in after effects but after i did 30 seconds of the intro i decided to stop. it just takes way too long. i am trying to do this as fast as i can and it is just not working out too well. this is a monster of a project and i hope i can finish.

Overlay

     At first Mrs. Cristie told me to do mine with a futuristic desigh. i tried but i had absalutely no inspiration for this. Instead, I found a picture of wolves and forest. i did the wolf kind of liek the animated gif last year and made a ton of layers that i would manipulate to look like a moving wolf. this wasnt that good or amazing but sometimes simpler is better. i think in an overlay that would be apropriate.

MotionForPromotion

        The hardest part about this project was to find something to promote. Everyone likes icecream so i chose the yobe free frozen yogurt promo since it looked fun. i dont remember how i got my inspiration but at the end it looked fun and personally got me stoked for icecream. it was a fun project and i think mine wasnt bad but it wasnt amazing.

PublicServiceAnnouncement

         So we have to do another public service announcement like last year but this time by our selves. i didn't have much inspiration so i just started going. i was doing alcohol abuse and binge drinking so what better of an artist to choose rather than lil john. i used the CDs that Mrs. K has to give the text a rainy background which i think helped set the mood. it went okay but not great.

EndOfNineWeeks

     This nine weeks have been good. i like how er dont have partners so i can really get my creative juices flowing without haveing to carry someone. I am looking forwards the rest of the year and even more so wolfcenter next year. cant wait.

WolfcenterSoFar

      Wolfcenter this year is in my opinion much better than last years. Maybe it is because i can appreciate it more since this is my second year. I like the into this year the best by far. That must have taken so much work. I also like the themed shows this year like the anchorman themed one. that was very well done graphically and non-graphically. I cant wait to see more.

LowerThirds Final

The only changes i made from the first try was making the wolves fly a bit lower, actually make it 6 seconds, and added a back drop thing. I also gave it touch ups like to give the spinning wolfcenter a better spin. not too many changes but i like it.

VideoPromo

       I was going to do a promo on people should come out to join cross country, but no one want to do that and it is too late. So instead i made a promo for people to come top the state meet. At first i was completely lost because there was no footage but i found a bit that wasn't great but i made do. I hope this goes on wolfcenter. I mean it is better than the usual promos with basic everything just cycling through words. I also tried to make it emotional by adding some emotional music that wasn't the standard dubstep that everyone uses.

LowerThirds

      So we have to do a lower thirds project labeling the people on wolfcenter. It sounded pretty easy at first, which it was, but the hard part was thinking of an idea to do. I wanted to be super creative but i tried that last project and it didnt work out too well. I just did a simple claw swipes the name on and double wolf explosion to make the wolfcenter at the end. it looks good but it isnt 6 seconds... crap. I had to make it six seconds by speeding stuff up and it doesnt look as good but at least it is 6 seconds.

VirtualTourFinal

      So apparently my old virtual tour wasn't good enough. I don't completely disagree, but i didn't really use that much of my old one except the song and some minor details. I decided to give it a sort of bird tour where you fly around the campus. I got all my images from google earth, put them in photoshop and then got what i wanted. The hardest part was working with my shots and the picture to give the the idea that you were flying around the campus. I am not going to lie, it isn't perfect but with the time i had i am fairly happy with what i did. I hope mine is the one that gets picked for whatever it is going to be used for. I wont be furious if i am not because mine wasn't the of the drafts. It's all cool doh.

VirtualTourOfChiles

       The last couple of days i have been working on a project about showing a tour of Chiles through a video. we had to storyboard, film, and edit a small 1 minute film. There are so many differrant ways of approaching this it took me a bit of time to create a vision that i would follow for this project. I finally decided just a labeled slide show would look the best within a minute.
      I followed my storyboard while filming but while i was editing i realized that i could not fit in what i wanted to say without being to breif in the tour. While editing i needed to pick a song in the background. i was searching the dubstep folder for a high bass background music i found the perfect song, but since the network hates me it didnt work. I found another song that fit though.
     While filming i found my good janitor freind jerry and i filmed him for the intro. It was a happy intro so i kept it. since i wanted the scenes to be swithcing constantly i ran out of footage quickly, so i mixed some stuff up and i had to use my buddy Josh's footage. after this i just did some touchups and labeled the areas then i exported it and i feel like it is not amazing but it is not horrible. I didnt really have any amazing ideas that i could put in it. All in all i feel like it is good.
