EditingSports

I have been editing sports for the last few shows and honestly it is easy. I want to find ways to improve it such as adding graphics and such but i cant because whenever i put any .mov file it crashes. I don't mind doing it because it helps me for next year if i am senior editor. I would aslo like to learn more and play around with after effects on the mac more and see if i can put something out, but i dont always have that kind of creativity.

Anchoring

So i have been anchoring for a while and now i am getting the hang of it. we are using bloopers for credits which are very hit or miss in my opinion. i am running out of nicknames so i might just stop having one and hopefully no one will notice. i might even just see if anyone does. i also have pulled of the no-button-down shirt for a week and i think it works just fine. but of course there are the problems.

Problems

        I have discovered that most of the things i want to do require what is on the mac. I am finding myself very limited in maing things in the after effects i have now. it all tends to look the same since i dont know how to expand without plugins.

Wolfcenter

        Wolfcenter is going top be fun this year. i know a lot about all of the software so my options are full with graphics and such. I know i will have trouble thinking of cool ideas every week so my projects wont cool every week, but they will get done.

AnimatedStorybook

       This project will take a very long time and the thing about this one is there is very little room for creativity. this project is a test of your Photoshop and premier skills. There are definitely ways to make your project stand out from everyone else, but that requires time and i just want to finish it on time and not be behind. I don't hate this project or anything, but i am having trouble making it my own.

TVProdPromo

       So i just made an Applied technology promo and now i have to make another one focusing on TV Production. I didn't really have any cool ideas for this because i just made a promo so i just did what everyone else always does and threw some footage to music in a cool fashion. not my best work.

AppliedTechnologyPromo

       Well making this in after effects is risky because that it should be 2 minutes long and the rendering would be a nightmare but i did it anyways. The main premise for the promo was a camera traveling in a space of videos moving around and that you saw each promo while going around in space. i don't think i completely executed this idea to the extent that i wanted but i didn't look to bad and i think that we got our point across which is all that matters in a promotional video.

      Well the hardest part about this project was to find someone to interview. i used my after effects skills yet again to create a very spiffy intro. we were originally going to interview Sean Turner for cross country but the day we were going to film we couldn't do because the deadline was moved up cutting our filming day off so we found this random guy to film. the actually footage was in my opinion hard to watch but we finished it and it was not terribly ugly.

WeatherENG

       I can't imagine how exiting doing weather can be but i thing i have a star weather man, Nathan MaGahee. I finally know after effects so i want to make the intro pretty spiffy with all of the graphics that the cds in Ms. Christy's  have to offer.the weathering sounds pretty strait forward so the real creativity can only truly take effect in editing as far as it is allowed. Well i think that we did good and the graphics look really sick. if we had more time we could have put a better back but that was only needed for it to
look pro.

BeginningOfNineWeeks

       So apparently we are going to stop doing so much editing and go on the field and do a lot of wolfcenter type things this 9 weeks. I like that but i also like editing. this means more group projects which i am not crazy exited about because i like working by myself because i can do whatever i want. There is also the animated storybook which i know will take for ever.
